ASESSMENT: For our family Homework this week, we will make word family houses. These houses will be completed at home with family members. They range from simple paper drawings to 3 dimensional houses that families have put together. Each house displays just one word family (such as the “at” family: cat, mat, sat, fat, bat). I will assess that each house has a complete word family and also have each child explain, or read his/her house to me When the children bring all of the houses in, we line them up and walk through the “neighborhood” reading all of the word families.  http://www.sakamotoschool.org/word_family_houses.htm
