PURPOSE: The students will be able to identify and describe the habits of animals of the Rainforest of Costa Rica.
DESCRIPTION: Each student will research an animal of the Rainforest of Costa Rica by using books, CD’s, web sites and personal interviews. The students may work with partners. The results will be presented in a class book. The teacher’s template will use the Minnesota Information Literacy Standards.

The student partners will present their page of the class book. The student partners will be able to name their animal, describe what it eats, describe its specific habitat (tree, ground, etc.) and tell about at least one unique characteristic of their animal.
